A Senior Data Analyst / Data Analyst V leverages strong Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) background to analyze and transform complex data sets. This role focuses on process redesign, data-driven decision-making, and supporting supply chain optimization initiatives within the Department of Defense (DOD) and commercial sectors. Drives process improvements and ensure efficient supply chain operations that meet strategic and operational goals.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field. 

  • Six to ten (6-10) years of experience in data analysis with a strong focus on BPR and SCM, including expertise in both DOD and commercial supply chain environments. 

  • Proven experience in analyzing large datasets and translating findings into actionable insights that drive process improvement. 

  • Strong knowledge of BPR methodologies and how to apply them within supply chain functions to optimize business operations. 

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and business intelligence tools to communicate data insights effectively. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other data analysis tools, with the ability to work with complex data sets and generate meaningful reports. 

  • Understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement within both the DOD and commercial sectors. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvements. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Analyzes and interprets large datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process redesign within supply chain operations in the DOD and commercial sectors. 

  • Utilizes BPR methodologies to assess and redesign business processes across the supply chain, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational objectives. 

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize overall performance. 

  • Supports the design and development of data models and dashboards to track supply chain metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders. 

  • Ensures data integrity by managing and validating data sources, improving data accuracy, and addressing discrepancies. 

  • Leads the development of reports and presentations to communicate findings, process redesign recommendations, and performance improvements to senior leadership and stakeholders. 

  • Analyzes key supply chain data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process enhancements to support supply chain transformation initiatives. 

  • Works closely with IT teams to ensure data systems and tools are aligned with business requirements and optimize data flow across supply chain functions. 

  • Mentors junior analysts, providing guidance on best practices for data analysis, process redesign, and supply chain performance optimization. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field and six to ten (6-10) years of experience in data analysis with a strong focus on BPR and SCM, including expertise in both DOD and commercial supply chain environments. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
