The Events Planner II plays a vital role in supporting the National Guard's Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) at the Wing, State, or Region level. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing YRRP training events, ensuring Service Members and their families have access to the program's resources and information throughout the deployment cycle. This position is remote, but may be required to travel once a month.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. 

  • Experience in program coordination, event planning, and logistics management. 

  • Previous experience working with Department of Defense.

  • May be required travel once a month.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 

  • Understanding of military culture and deployment cycles a plus. 

  • Proficient in key functions of Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word, OneNote and Adobe Pro. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Planning for contracted events. 

  • Engage with designated Wing POC’s.

  • Facilitate events. 

  • Coordinate events. 

  • Travel to proposed venues for site visits. 

  • Provide monthly reports. 

  • For up to 60 ANG Yellow Ribbon events, provide all labor, supervision, materials and equipment, venue location management, administrative services, food and beverage services, childcare services, audio visual, and onsite support services. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, or management and a minimum experience/training of three (3) years of developing, implementing and managing programs or equivalent combination of education / experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $70K to $80K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
