The Software Test Engineer provides support to the Health IT programs. Responsible for testing COTS and custom developed applications in a Federal Government infrastructure. The Test Engineer works with Developers and Business Analysts to develop and execute automated test scripts. This position supports over five deployments a year. As each release is deployed to three environments, multiple releases are in process at the same time. This part time position is on-site in the Washington, DC area.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Knowledge of automated testing tools such as HP UFT, Selenium, and JMeter etc.
Knowledge of Oracle and Java based applications
Knowledge in conducting security testing
Knowledge in developing operational procedures
Knowledge of the maintenance of complex hardware and software data processing systems
Knowledge in systems engineering and configuration management processes
Strong skills in identifying, isolating and correcting software/system anomalies
Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
Ability to be flexible, independent and self-motivated
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs testing tasks to support maintenance, enhancements and deployment of COTS and custom developed applications.
Conducts all testing activities in accordance with industry best practices as well as the government’s product lifecycle processes.
Offers innovative technical solutions to evolving customer requirements.
Interacts with customers in professional manner even under the high pressure of tight deadlines and aggressive deployment schedules.
Adheres to all CNI processes and procedures including change management regardless of the pressure to meet aggressive deadlines. Ensures all required documentation is produced and delivered.
Works closely with the other Team members to implement best practices and ensure the best value is provided to our customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in a related technical field with a minimum of four (4) years relevant experience. Experience with test automation tools like HP UFT, Selenium, JMeter is a must. Experience with version control tools such as Git and SVN. Experience with Agile Scrum framework and test automation in CI/CD. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must provide strong references, which will be verified.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to lift, push or pull 50 pounds or more using cart or hand truck. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May work near moving or mechanical parts. May have exposure to chemicals, fumes, warehouse environment or adverse weather conditions. May be required to use safety and personal protective equipment.

The estimated pay range for this role is $40 to $53 per hour, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
