SUMMARY

The Computer Operator III ensures the efficient operations of web-based software applications used by the staff to transmit flight data to the FAA. This position provides technical support, manage user accounts, and assists in testing new releases while delivering high-quality troubleshooting and maintenance services at the Mike Moroney Aeronautical Center in OKC.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass a customer clearance investigation (VAP) for access to facilities, equipment and property. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Monitors and maintains applications, systems, and networks for optimal performance and uptime.

Manages user accounts, including creation, resetting, and deactivation. Provides technical support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and escalate as needed.

Corrects data transmission errors and maintain compliance. Executes scheduled jobs, perform backups, and verify data integrity.

Collaborates with IT teams on upgrades and new software testing. Assists in disaster recovery planning and mentor junior staff.
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree and a minimum of three to five (3-5) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
