SUMMARY

The Data Scientist III is responsible for analyzing complex datasets to extract valuable insights and drive informed decision-making. The Data Scientist will utilize statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and programming skills to clean, organize, and interpret data. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings effectively.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis relevant to execute analytical experiments to help solve manufacturing problems.

Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

Possess advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling, relevant experience with Excel, PowerBI, PowerQuery, ML tools, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python, SAS)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Leads the collection, categorization, and analysis of complex datasets.

Develops and refines predictive models to optimize business outcomes.

Creates advanced data visualizations and present actionable insights to stakeholders.

Makes strategic business recommendations based on comprehensive data analysis.

Coordinates with stakeholders and functional teams to implement solutions.

Evaluates and integrates new datasets to enhance processes and outcomes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and five to seven (5-7) years related experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
